Asta Bandera meeting point

The Asta Bandera monument is a prominent location next to the ferry terminal in down town Cozumel, and is often the first landmark visitors notice when arriving from Playa del Carmen. The monument sits underneath a giant flagpole, usually (but not always!) adorned with the Mexican national flag. It’s easily accessed on foot along the promenade walkway alongside the coast.

If arriving from the ferry terminal: simply take a right out of the ferry terminal exit and head South along the promenade (approximately a 1 to 2 minute walk).

If arriving from the Punta Langosta cruise ship terminal: exit the terminal and head North along the promenade (approximately a 5 to 10 minute walk).

One of our friendly staff in Cozumel Snorkel Center uniform will meet you at the monument around 30 minutes before your tour start time. They’ll direct you to the correct boat departure pier from here.
